Final property at Lynedoch Street now sold

We are proud to announce that the very last apartment in our Lynedoch Street development in Glasgow is currently under offer. This final sale marks the completion of what has been a highly successful project.

“The incredible interest in this address, shows that we were right to take the innovative approach we did at this site,” says Managing Director, Matthew Atton. “For its buyers, Lynedoch Street represented a unique opportunity to enjoy a central location, contemporary quality and traditional architecture at an accessible price point.”

Lynedoch Street comprises a total of 18 apartments. The project involved demolishing an existing dilapidated structure and erecting a new building in a similar style to the Georgian properties that surround it.

The development, which was a finalist in the 2016 Scottish Home Awards, is one of only a handful of new-build properties of its type and scale that have been constructed in Glasgow’s Park District since this area was first established in the 1850s.

New Plans for the Park area of Glasgow

We have recently completed the purchase of three townhouses in Newton Place, a beautiful tree-lined terrace in the Park area of Glasgow, close to Kelvingrove Park.

This move follows the success of our Lynedoch Terrace and Woodside Terrace developments which are also located in this highly-sought after residential suburb.

“This is another exciting chapter in Wemyss’ Glasgow story,” says Managing Director, Matthew Atton.

“The new properties will be of a similar specification to our other Park developments and will be very popular with buyers who want to live within easy reach of the centre of the city.”

Each of the three townhouses will be developed into luxury apartments with a choice of two- and three-bedroom homes. The grand dimensions and original architectural details will be retained wherever possible, and the new properties will feature the highest level of finish.

Work is expected to begin at Newton Place in Autumn 2017. For initial enquiries regarding the development, please get in touch using the Contact Us section.

Wemyss finalist in Scottish Home Awards

We’re proud to announce that our Lynedoch Terrace Development in Glasgow was a finalist in the 2016 Scottish Home Awards, shortlisted in the Small Housing Development of the Year Category.

“We were delighted to make the final of this prestigious award in what was a very competitive category,” says Managing Director, Matthew Atton.

“This recognition highlights the innovative nature of the Lynedoch Street development. It is one of only a handful of new-build properties of its type and scale that have been constructed in Glasgow’s Park District since it was first established in the 1850s.”

All of the 18 apartments in the Lynedoch Street development were sold from plan by the end of November 2015.
